Just because I photograph beautiful things and post inspirational quotes doesn’t mean I have it together. I’m struggling. Big time. I can’t wait to leave. Everything is so unnecessarily difficult here. None of these pictures show that though. Just like none of your Facebook friends’ photos show their reality. Life is not black and white. Sometimes it’s gloomy grey and sometimes it’s sparkling silver.
“This too shall pass”. Give it time.
I’ve struggled too.
Life requires a pair of waders.
That being said…..
The moth dew picture is absolutely mint. Synchronicity and serendipitous.

Japan can be lovely for beautiful pictures (which yours definitely are!) but there are lots of un-beautiful things too, just like anywhere. I hope you can get through to the end of this chapter in your life and keep finding nice things for yourself.

Thank you sweetness! I am so close to the end but this time of organizing everything for my departure is proving to be the hardest. Things I could do back home in NZ without a sweat require unnecessary paperwork and painful headaches.

Wonderful placement for Thich Nhat Hanh’s book, How to Eat. I love how he teaches Mindfulness. thanx

Yes, that’s life as a human being; it is full of ups and downs and in-betweens.
The key is to find a happy medium where we can accept all things, and not be affected by them. This is so simple to write; however, not as easy to practice. :)

Nobody really has it together. Everyone has flaws. Just keep up the great posts.

I always say the same thing. Looks can be deceiving. No one knows what a person endures behind closed doors- the pain, sacrifices, sweat, trials and tribulations. And the same way you are looking at someone who seems to have it all together….someone else is looking at you and admiring your strength and talent….so keep doing you.

Perhaps find some happiness during those harder times of knowing that your photography and words are bringing a smile to someone’s face.

I love the butterfly picture!
I found this quote today, which somehow inspired me so hopefully it’ll give you some strength as well: “Whether you think you can or think you can’t — you’re right.” Stay positive, my dear! <3

A few years ago we lived in a place that could have been a great opportunity, but it was just so difficult being there. At the time every day weighed heavy, even the beautiful moments were cloaked in darkness. When we finally moved things weren’t perfect, but the hardness became softer, the darkness made way for light. The days became easier and we are happier for it. I hope things will become easier for you too.

That is such a sweet sweet comment. I really hope so. Actually I am certain they will. I know this environment, as beautiful as it is, isn’t good for me anymore. I am ready to move on. I need to be near family and friends. Better energy.. open-mindedness. Though no where is perfect, I’m sure I’ll have better luck at finding it in a more populated place.
